Hirobel is a specially designed clamp for bicycle repair stands that makes it easier to work on your bike. It better distributes stresses and loads through the bicycle frame, offering superior stability while eliminating possible crushing or damage to thin-walled and shaped tubing. The pressure clamps used on contemporary workstands were developed for round steel tubing more than 40 years ago, predating carbon fiber, aluminum, aerodynamic and oversized tube shapes, integrated seat masts, dropper posts, and suspension systems. These legacy designs assume your bicycle tubing to be both round and straight, and when it is not, the clamp can impart very high point loads at the clamp edges causing finish damage, internal carbon layup damage, or outright crushing of tubes on the lightest designs. With Hirobel, specially shaped, paint-friendly cones and bindings cradle the frame at the tube intersections, where wall thicknesses are higher and forces can be distributed over much larger surface areas. Adjustable and adaptable for any possible frame design, the Hirobel also allows the repair stand clamp to be located closer to the bicycle center of gravity. SILCA Super Secret Chain lube started out as a project to develop the fastest hot-melt wax lubricant available more than a year ago. Josh has been recommending Hot Melt Wax and helping Pro cyclists and triathletes wax chains for years and wanted to bring his lubricant formula to our customers, the challenge was how to consistently melt, dip and agitate the chain across different crockpot designs and temperatures. The project took a fascinating turn from the world of IndyCar when Josh was introduced to a group that had developed a technology to put micro-scale wax powders into a solution that was quick-drying and forms a coating that is indiscernible from hot melt dipping. The combination of air-drying liquid wax and Tungsten Disulfide would quickly prove to beat all currently available hot-melt waxes in friction testing while being much faster and easier to apply. Best of all perhaps is that this formula would prove to be very environmentally friendly, utilizing 4 different types of wax, nanoplatelets of WS2 (Tungsten Disulfide), and mild alcohol to act as a carrier. This same alcohol is used in the SILCA Gear Wipes, making them a perfect product to clean and remove Secret Chain Lube. - 4 oz. and 8 oz. bottles with the precision applicator tip for dripping on your chain, or 12oz lube (leaving room for your chain) for dipping the chain - The chain should be VERY clean and dry before applying - Apply according to video and let dry for AT LEAST 12 hours for optimal results, 24 hours if applied in cool or humid weather conditions! Roughly 70% of damage to high-end carbon components like seat posts, handlebars, and stems happen when making adjustments without using torque measurement. This problem is accentuated by the majority of adjustments occurring on the roadside or trail-side. Modern carbon rims and tires create a real challenge for traditional tire levers, and the new wave of tubeless setups have taken the challenge to the next level. Tire fits are tighter than they've ever been, while carbon rims require non-metal levers to resist damage to the bead or brake surface during use. Previous solutions to this problem have involved using a metal core inside of a plastic lever however, this solution has its own challenges as the core of the lever is where you can add the least stiffness and strength.
