Return Policy
At BGI, we stand behind everything we sell. If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase, simply return the item within 30 days and we'll replace it or issue a refund. Fitness equipment will be subject to a minimum restocking fee of 10%. Other restocking fees may apply depending on the condition of the item or packaging. Store credit may be issued in lieu of the original payment method under certain circumstances such as 1) clearance merchandise 2) the original payment type being unavailable.
If there’s a problem with something you purchased from us, you can either bring it to our store or ship it back. Ship returns via ground service (UPS or FedEx Ground) or use insured US Mail (we do not accept CODs). We will refund shipping costs on damaged or incorrect merchandise. Merchandise returned that appears used will be subject to a restocking fee. Labor charges are not refundable.
Returns over $100 must have a return authorization number clearly marked on the outside of the package or the item will be refused. A return authorization number can be obtained by phone. Just give us a call, we'll work it out to your satisfaction!
Special policy for end-of-year purchases: Items purchased between November 15th and Christmas Day can be returned until January 15th, or the 30-day limit, whichever is greater.
Prices & Information
BGI makes efforts to maintain accurate prices and stocking information on bgIndy.com, but such systems are imperfect. By far, the most difficult task is predicting the arrival date of products coming from out-of-state warehouses. We regret any inconvenience caused by our mistakes. If you find errors on this website, we would appreciate you letting us know via phone, email, or in-person.
Online Security & Privacy
We never make your e-mail address, postal address, phone number, or other personal information available to other companies or organizations. If you supply us with your e-mail address, you may receive periodic messages from us with information on new products, services or upcoming events. If you later decide you no longer wish to receive such messages, it's easy to opt-out by following the 'unsubscribe' link or by using a form on bgindy.com. Or, you can let us know by sending an email or calling us.
Privacy policy addendum: No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Warranties of Bicycling Products
- There are a wide variety of warranties and guarantees on bicycles and bicycling products.
- Bicycles
- Most bicycles have a 1 year bumper-to-bumper warranty against defects
- Many bicycles have a lifetime guarantee on the frame
- Notably, carbon fiber bikes have different warranties, varying by manufacturer
- Seats / Saddles
- To help find a comfortable saddle, many of BGI's saddle makers offer 30 to 90-day "test ride" periods.
- You can ride these saddles and, if necessary, exchange them for another model.
- Other bicycling products are typically warrantied for 1 year after purchase.
- In all cases, warranties only apply to the original purchaser and are non-transferable.
- If you buy from BGI, you don't have to worry about paper receipts. We'll associate your purchase with your name so that we can retrieve it as needed.
- Abuse, misuse, and crashes are not warranty issues. However, a few manufacturer's offer crash-replacement at reduced prices. Ask BGI staff about these programs.
Fitness Equipment Warranty
- One Year Bumper-to-Bumper - Through a combination of each manufacturer's warranty and BGI's warranty, the costs of parts, travel, and in-home labor are fully covered for the first year you own your equipment.
- This warranty applies to major pieces of serialized fitness equipment which are not easily transported in the customer's vehicle. For example, in-home warranty service is not available for heart rate monitors or yoga balls.
- This warranty applies to repairs but not to maintenance. A good example of routine maintenance is the treadmill lubrication. Depending on usage, such lubrication should be performed every 6 months to 1 year.
- This warranty does not apply to any abuse or accidental occurrences that are not due to manufacturer's defects.
- Most manufacturers' warranties exceed one year but the specifics of those warranties vary. Ask BGI personnel for details.
