Bicycling Lunch & Learn Programs 2024
Bicycling Lunch & Learns are a program of Cycle Commuter Task Force (Bicycle Garage Indy, Bike Indianapolis, Central Indiana Bicycling Association and Commuter Connect). They are held online via zoom on the 2nd Thursday of the month from 12-1 pm. You must register in order to get the link to join the meeting. The link will be emailed one hour before the event.

February 8 Trail Update: Updates on trails/greenways within Indy and outside Indy: Nickel Plate, Indianapolis Cultural Trail, Pogue’s Run, B&O, Pennsy Trail, Monon in Carmel

March 14 Favorites: Open discussion of favorite, can’t live without items, favorite food places along bike rides, favorite bike events, Bicycle Indiana Resource Guide

April 11 Planning a Bike Overnight or Bike Camping Trip 101: Resources and equipment for bike camping - trails, Indiana bicycle routes
May 9 Bike Month Activities: Bike to Work Day, Bike to 500, Bike to Vote (mention in April) and other bicycle activities in National Bike Month (also Ride of Silence, Bike to School Day)
June 13 Profiles of E-Bike Riders: Each person talks/presents about how they use their e-bikes
July 11 Bike Maintenance: Tips on basic care for your bicycle to keep it running smoothly
August 8 Bike Infrastructure Update (Non-trail): Update on the bike infrastructure getting built and new infrastructure in the past 12 months
September 12 Car Free Day Indy & Commuter Connect: Commuter Connect provides information about Commuter Connect and their upcoming Car Free Day Indy
October 10 Bicycling in the Cold and Dark: Tips on bicycling in the cold and dark and how to enjoy winter weather riding

Active Transportation Meetups (ATM):

7-8 am Broad Ripple - highlight Broad Ripple connection between Monon and Broad Ripple Park
Also will schedule ATM in June, July, August on 3rd Thursday at different locations, encouraging people to ride with others - discussion on facebook event, informal bike trains - once solidified will promote here and on social media and in calendars.
