The new 8-Bit System is a group of multi-tools designed to work together to solve most trailside fixes. They are lightweight, strong, versatile, and small enough to fit in a jersey pocket or riding tool wrap. Wheels Manufacturing open bore adapters are used to press sealed cartridge bearings into place. A star-fangled nut needs to be pressed into a steerer tube to a specific depth and it needs to be driven in straight. This tool, especially when combined with our star nut setter guide, accomplishes both of those tasks easily. Thread the star nut onto the setter, place it over the end of the steerer, and using your favorite hammer, drive the star-fangled nut home. Compatible with 1" and 1-1/8" steerer tubes.
